View: Georgia defines the national standard for the management of pro-workers

Labor Day is a time to celebrate the American worker. But it is also a time to ask us: Which state does the best work to put the workers in the first place?
Georgia has an incredibly strong claim. The Peach State is not only a leader in the reforms of pro workers at the state level. It is also the home of federal managers who fight for workers in Washington, DC, only have a few countries that have so many basic pro-workers leaders at every government level.
The leadership of the state in Atlanta is clear in many ways. For decades, Georgia has been a state of right to work, which gave employees the choice of whether union fees should be paid or not. As a result, you can choose from the payment of a union without being afraid of losing your work. This policy undoubtedly contributed to the booming economy in Georgia. Due to this simple policy of common sense, manufacturers in particular can rather set up a business in the peach state.
But Georgia did not stop right. Governor Brian Kemp and State Rep. Wade directed the indictment for an innovative new reform two years ago, which offers employees even more protection. According to this law, companies that receive government incentives must protect privacy and the secret ballot papers for their workers in union elections – the same type of voting that Americans use in elections. This reform protects the workers from intimidation and harassment and ensures that you can hear your voice without fear of reprisals.
To see why this reform is important, consider what happened next door in Alabama. Last year, the United Auto employees convinced about 70% of workers to sign cards that support union formation in two car factories. This “card check” method is the opposite of the secret ballot because unions can publicly put the workers under pressure to sign these cards. The card test is often the end of the story – employers recognize without keeping a secret election choice.
When the vote was held privately, the majority of workers voted against union formation in the car lanes and showed that the secret ballot is the best way to measure the true wishes of the workers. Similarly, in Georgia, the workers in many companies know that their rights are protected, and it is another reason for workers' creators to come to the Peach state.
This state leadership is already sufficient to abolish Georgia as a pro-worker port. However, the leadership of the state also shows in the capital of our nation. The US MP Rick Allen from the 12th congress district of Georgia recently reintroduced the employee law law law of the most important legislation for pro-workers in America.
The employee law law is full of reforms that would protect and strengthen the rights of employees. Building on Georgia's state politics, it would require the secret ballot papers for all union elections in America – no longer a card test. It would also protect the privacy of employees by determining which personal unions unions can access. And in the 26 states such as Georgia with laws with the right to work, the employee law law would have employees who signed off the union membership, have their own contracts negotiated-etwas from which they are currently prohibited.
The law on employee rights goes even further by protecting the law of employees to build their own small companies as independent contractors. And the employees had greater freedom to pursue entrepreneurship by starting franchise companies because the law ends the changing federal standards that have threatened this company model for the pro work for a long time.
These are just a few of the PRO work reforms of the Employee Rights Act. Everyone deserves praise that he is committed to this calculation and defended freedom that the workers need. The same applies to leaders in Atlanta who made the peach state a reform model, especially Kemp and Wade. The pro-worker progress that started in Georgia is spreading nationwide and on this day of work is the best thing you can celebrate.
