“Spider-Man: No Way Home”, “Ozark” and “The Resident” are just a few of the more than 30 productions that are currently being shot.
ATLANTA – Film and television production may look very different this year as we near the one-year limit for the global pandemic, but it certainly hasn’t slowed in Georgia.
The Georgia Film Office reports that at least 49 television pilots, series, reality shows and feature films are currently being produced. Popular television shows such as Ozark, Stranger Things, The Walking Dead, MacGyver and The Resident are currently shooting in neighborhoods across Metro Atlanta.
Here are some of the shows and movies that are currently being shot on the subway.
SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME
Marvel Studios has officially announced the release date and title of the sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home, and fans are rating the new title on social media.
On Wednesday, the actual title was revealed in a video posted on Twitter showing the three main characters – Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon – walking out of director Jon Watts’ office and arguing over the name and how Holland only spoiled it would by revealing the secret.
Well, the secret was revealed by the photographer and a dry eraser board on which the title of the movie “Spider-Man: No Way Home” was finally revealed.
Previously there were talks that the shooting of “Spider-Man 3” would be postponed in early 2021 to meet Holland’s obligations for other upcoming projects. The film is now slated for release in December 2021, while the cast and crew are currently working around the clock on parts of Metro Atlanta to make that happen.
Several other Marvel films were filmed at Trillith Studios, a huge manufacturing facility in Fayetteville covering over 1 million square feet.
Holland, who plays the legendary superhero in the third episode of the franchise, posted a new still image from the project on Instagram.
“I’m very excited to announce the new Spider-Man title. I can’t wait for you to see what we’re up to. Greetings from Atlanta “, wrote Holland.
Last fall, we learned that Jamie Foxx was in talks to return as Electro from the 2014 version of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2”.
Production for the fourth and final season of “Ozark” is in effect throughout the state, including Cumming.
On Wednesday, police officers sent a notice of filming across the region.
“There will be a film team together with several police officers who are filming in different locations in the city and in the district. If you see a large presence of people, police tapes, officers, etc. today and tomorrow, you have probably found them. “The Cumming Police Department wrote.
The Netflix drama has four nominations in the top TV categories of this year’s Golden Globe Awards.
The series star and executive producer Jason Bateman is honored for best performance by an actor in a television series – Drama.

“Ozark” is set in Missouri, but has mainly filmed its scenes in Georgia since its first season. Netflix reports that last season began by doubling the crew on risky decisions “to expand their empire in the next chapter of the thrilling crime series.”
East Point residents can catch a glimpse of Jamie Foxx while he’s in town.

According to Deadline, the upcoming American science fiction comedy film, directed by Juel Taylor, John Boyega (Star Wars) and Teyonah Parris (WandaVision) will be starring alongside Foxx in the upcoming Netflix feature.
The plot includes a series of sinister events that unearth a government conspiracy Foxx, Boyega and Parris.
Fans of the hit thriller from the 1980s with the twist “The Goonies” have a new reason to smile. According to Variety, the title is now being revised as a television series.
“Instead of a sequel, remake, or reboot, however, it’s a substitute teacher named Stella Cooper who mentors three students creating a shot-for-shot remake of a student’s favorite movie – The Goonies,” Mental Floss. another source reported.
The action behind the scenes takes place in Atlanta.
Several users on 11Alive’s Facebook group The A-Scene have reported on the production in their neighborhood. Newnan High School residents shared photos of some props, including a pirate ship.
The successful CW drama “Dynasty” is looking for fresh faces for the current fourth season. Project Casting reports that the show is looking for background actors for several upcoming scenes.
“Dynasty” comes from Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the team behind shows like “Gossip Girl” and “The OC”.
The show is a modernized reboot of the classic 1980s primetime soap.
The series follows two of America’s richest families, the Carringtons and the Colbys, as they vie for control of their wealth and children.
Mainly told from the perspective of two divided women – Fallon Carrington, daughter of billionaire Blake Carrington; and her soon-to-be stepmother Cristal, a Spanish woman who will join the WASP family – “Dynasty” not only shows the glitz and glamor of extreme wealth, but also reveals the dark underbelly of a corrupt world built on backroom deals.
The modern version reverses the script of the classic version by not only being set in Atlanta but also in Denver. All of the production for the series also took place here.
Scenes for the current fourth season of Fox’s medical drama series “The Resident” are currently being filmed across Metro Atlanta. Crews have been spotted in Midtown, where the show filmed previous seasons.
Most of the first and second seasons were filmed in Conyers and Midtown Atlanta at the High Museum of Art.
“The Resident” follows a young doctor who works with a hospital senior resident who is tough and brilliant. It features Matt Czuchry, Emily VanCamp, Manish Dayal, Malcolm Jamal-Warner and Bruce Greenwood.
