A Trumpworld insider has begun collaborating with the investigation into the classified papers found at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate, it has been revealed.
Sources told the New York Times that the DOJ found an “inside witness” who worked for the former president at his Florida estate and is now speaking to investigators as part of the investigation.
The Justice Department is also said to be investigating Mr Trump’s ties to the Saudi Arabia-backed LIV Gulf.
The revelation comes as lawyers for Mr Trump and E Jean Carroll rested their cases in his civil rape trial on Thursday after testifying for nearly two weeks that the former president raped the magazine columnist in the 1990s.
Afterward, Judge Lewis Kaplan left the door open for Mr Trump to testify at the last minute and gave his defense team until 5 p.m. Sunday to confirm whether or not the former president will appear.
Earlier Thursday, Mr Trump said he would cut short his trip to Ireland to “confront” Ms Carroll about the case.

Donald Trump is trying to take the New York crime case to federal court
Donald Trump’s attorneys have asked a federal court to take control of his criminal case in New York City. They argued Thursday that the former president could not be tried in state court, where his historic indictment was made, because the alleged conduct took place during his tenure.
In court filings, Trump’s attorneys said the criminal case “encompasses important federal issues,” including alleged violations of federal election law. Federal officials, including former presidents, have the right to be tried in federal court on charges of “conduct while in office,” the attorneys argued.
Echoing Trump’s claim that his indictment was “politically motivated,” attorney Susan Necheles urged the federal court to exercise its “protective jurisdiction” and take over the case in the state courts, where Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg routinely practices.
Such requests are rarely granted in criminal cases, although Trump’s request is unprecedented as he is the first former president ever to be charged with a crime.
“It is extremely unlikely that this effort will be successful,” said Rebecca Roiphe, a professor at New York Law School. “It’s not even clear that this would be a particularly effective delaying tactic.”

But Ivanka’s sister-in-law Lara has claimed the development hasn’t resulted in a family split.

The lawsuit aims to recover funds from alleged fraudulent operations by the Trump Organization. The lawsuit also seeks to remove all four of Trump’s family members from their positions at the company and ban them from holding senior positions in New York State.

“He doesn’t like me very much, he was appointed by Bill Clinton,” Trump says of trial judge E Jean Carroll

Kari Lake’s attorneys were fined in a failed Arizona election process
Attorneys for Republican Kari Lake were fined $2,000 by the Arizona Supreme Court on Thursday when they unsuccessfully challenged her loss in last year’s gubernatorial race to Democrat Katie Hobbs.
In an order, the state’s highest court said Lake’s attorney made “false statements of fact” that more than 35,000 ballots were improperly added to the total number of ballots. However, the court declined to order Lake to pay attorneys’ fees to cover the costs of defending Hobbs and Secretary of State Adrian Fontes in Lake’s appeals case.
Chief Justice Robert Brutinel cited that Lake’s signature verification challenge remains unresolved.
Hobbs and Fontes said Lake and her attorneys should face sanctions for unsubstantiated allegations that over 35,000 ballots were inserted into the race at a facility where a contractor scanned absentee ballots to prepare for processing and counting by poll workers of the district to prepare.
When the Supreme Court first faced Lake’s challenge in late March, the judges said the evidence did not show that over 35,000 ballots were added to the vote count in Maricopa County, home to more than 60% of the state’s voters.

Convictions will ‘signal no deathblow’ to Proud Boys.
The conviction of Enrique Tarrio and his associates may be a deadly blow, but it may not be a deadly blow for the Proud Boys, who often took a violent message to the streets and tried to take it literally.
“The Proud Boys’ reputation will certainly be tarnished by the revelations at the trial and today’s convictions, but it will not mean a deathblow to the organization and we expect their local activities to continue,” Lindsay Schubiner, program director at the Western States Center , a civil rights group, told the Wall Street Journal.

Trump is “playing with fire” as he campaigns for violent right-wing ideas
Despite the distance to the Proud Boys, Donald Trump still regularly touches on violent right-wing ideas in his election campaign.
Mr Trump opened the event with a song honoring the inmates of the January 6 riot, and speakers spoke vigorously about the government.
Before Mr. Trump took the stage, conservative rocker Ted Nugent delivered a guitar solo version of the “Star Spangled Banner,” but not before telling the crowd about a January 6-inspired “moment of silence for the political prisoners in the Washington gulags.” , DC” asked, because of gangsters in boots in our own government.”
During his speech, the former president avoided mentioning the standoff himself, but offered scattered warnings about dark forces, World War III, and an apocalyptic “final battle” for America.
“Either the deep state destroys America, or we destroy the deep state,” he added. “We are at a very crucial juncture in our country.”
