The family says
A family of Georgia says her 30-year-old relative has been declared brain dead, but the doctors are legally obliged to maintain life because she is pregnant.
Adriana SmithA nurse and mother of one was almost nine weeks pregnant in February when she complained about severe headaches. Your mother, April Newkirkannounced that the Northside Hospital sent her home without carrying out scans:
“You gave her medication, but you didn't do any tests. No CT scan.”
The next morning, Smith's Friend found her to breathe for air. A CT scan later revealed blood clots in her brain. It was declared brain dead and provided for life preservation.
“She has been breathing through machines for more than 90 days” said. “It's torture for me. I see my daughter breathing, but she's not there.”
The doctors have recently moved Blacksmith To supply Emory Midtown until the fetus is viable because the heartbeat in Georgia prevents it from ending the pregnancy.
Newkirk believes “Every woman should have the right to make her own decision … and if not, then your partner or her parents,” added the doctors that the baby fluid has in the brain and “may not be blind, may not be able to walk if it was born.”
