RIDGELAND, SC (WSAV) — A suspect was arrested in a drive-by shooting in December that killed a 5-year-old boy, the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) announced Friday.
JCSO said the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office arrested Gregory Harris Scott, 20, of Beaufort, Thursday in Macon, Georgia.

The sheriff’s office says the arrest comes after JCSO detectives identified Scott as a suspect and obtained a warrant.
On December 28, deputies responded to the Wagon Branch area of Jasper County regarding a drive-by shooting that killed 5-year-old DeAndre Robinson.
DeAndre died from his injuries in a hospital.
WSAV News 3 spoke to his parents in the days following his death. His mother says the family is heartbroken but determined to focus on the joy her little boy brought into their lives.
“He loved life, he loved school, he loved his parents, he just loved everything about breathing,” said Deanna Frazier.
Harris is currently being held at the Bibb County, Georgia Law Enforcement Center awaiting extradition to Jasper County.
