“We tried many cases together across the state of Georgia, from both jurors and non-jurors. He taught me everything I know about legal practice, and to this day I think what would George do if I were to analyze a case. “
Stern said she was honored and proud to carry on her father’s legacy in both her practice and engagement with the AAML, where he served as the AAML’s national president from 1998 to 1999.
Before George’s death, the AAML Georgia chapter created and honored the George S. Stern Achievement Award as its first recipient. AAML was founded in 1962 and has chapters in 50 states. The mission of its 1,650 internal relations attorneys is to provide a leadership role that promotes the highest level of professionalism and excellence in the exercise of family law.
Stern, a member of Temple Sinai, is certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a member of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and has been on the Top 50: Women Georgia Super Lawyers list for two years.
