“We tried many cases together throughout the state of Georgia, both with and without a jury. He taught me everything I know about practicing law, and to this day I ask myself, 'what would George do?' when I analyze a case.”
Stern said she is honored and proud to continue her father's legacy both in her practice and in her involvement with the AAML, where he served as AAML national president between 1998 and 1999.
Before George's death, the Georgia Chapter of the AAML established the George S. Stern Achievement Award and honored him as its first recipient. Founded in 1962, the AAML has offices in 50 states and the mission of its 1,650 family law attorneys is to provide leadership that promotes the highest level of professionalism and excellence in the practice of family law.
Stern is a member of Temple Sinai, certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a member of the International Academy of Family Lawyers, and has been named to the Top 50: Women Georgia Super Lawyers list for the past two years.
