Patricia Christine (Palko) (Dimino) Given, 90, of Kennesaw, Georgia, passed away on August 24, 2023 after a short illness. Patricia was born on March 26, 1933 to Frank and Pauline (Harcharick) Palko in Toledo, Ohio.
Patricia met and married bassist Alphonse Dimino in Illinois in 1952. After that, the couple moved to Rochester, NY to a large and welcoming Italian family.
Patricia and Al had three children: Karen, Frank, and Jeneane Dimino. In 1969 Patricia lost her husband to pancreatic cancer and in 1976 she married Brian Spencer Given, with whom she moved to Atlanta, Georgia. For the past few years, she has been a resident of Kennesaw Assisted Living in Canterfield.
Patricia was known for her elegance and style. She enjoyed traveling abroad, visiting Australia, Mexico City, London and Paris, among others.
Patricia had predeceased her parents, two husbands, son-in-law Byron Stockton, and sisters-in-law Grace (Dimino) Beato, Virginia (Dimino) Trabold, and Penny (Dimino) Rose. While these were her sisters-in-law, Patricia considered them her sisters for 70 years.
She is survived by her three children: Karen Stockton, Frank (Linda) Dimino and Jeneane (George) Sessum, stepdaughter Christine (Edward) Laureano, sister-in-law; Marian Dimino SSJ, 7 grandchildren: Nickolaus Andrus; Russell (Amanda) Dimino; Valerie Dimino (Richard Marsland); Joshua (Jaclyn) music; Victoria Laureano; Jenna Sessum; and Collin Laureano, 5 great-grandchildren (Dominic Dimino, Cora Dimino, Landon Dimino, Eden Dimino and Kitt Andrus) and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Worship services will take place at a later date. In memory of Patricia, donations can be made to Sisters of St. Joseph, 150 French Rd., Rochester, NY; Trillium Health, 259 Monroe Ave, Rochester, NY; or the Pancreatic Cancer Network (pancan.org).
