AUTRYVILLE — Ms. Georgia Faye (Hobbs) Knowles, 73, went to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center on Monday, March 6, 2023 to be with the Lord.
A celebration of life service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10 at the Butler Funeral Home in Roseboro, where Pastor Rick Kelly will officiate.
The family is welcoming friends on Friday, March 10, from 4 to 4:50 p.m. before the service at the funeral home and other times at their daughter, Shelia Davidson’s home, 2070 Boykin Bridge Road, Clinton, NC 28328.
A native of Sampson County, Ms. Knowles was the daughter of George Jefferson and Ruth Elizabeth Boyette Hobbs. Her parents preceded her in death; her sister, Barbara Hobbs; grandparents, David and Annie Ruth Boyette; and Tillman and Ida Hobbs. She was a beautician for 51 years.
She leaves her daughter Shelia Davidson and husband Jake of Clinton to cherish her memory; her son Larry Knowles, Jr. of N. Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, McKenzie Davidson and Dylan Davidson; her brother George “Buster” Hobbs and his wife Linda of Wilmington; her sister Connie Bradshaw from Selma; her brother-in-law, Alton Hobbs of Dunn; and several loving nieces, nephews and friends.
