Ms. Beverly Diane Dowdy Broach, 67, of Rome, passed away on Saturday June 3, 2023 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Broach was born on June 6, 1955 in Rome, Georgia to the late John W. Dowdy Jr. and the late Tommie Inell Pruitt Crumley. Also before her died a daughter, Stephanie Tanner, and a brother, Johnny Dowdy. She was a member of Life UPC in Hinesville, GA. Ms. Broach worked as a registered nurse for Floyd County and Floyd Medical Center for several years. She loved church and trips with her brother and sister-in-law. She also loved family gatherings and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her life.
Survivors include her husband Randall Broach; a daughter, Shonna Dorsey (Lee); four grandchildren, Braelyn, Jaron, James Isaac and Justin Tanner; two great-grandchildren, Chandler and Bray Jones; a brother, Dusty Dowdy (Denise); Nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023 in the chapel of the Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, conducted by Rev. Tommy Crutchfield and Rev. Joey Motes. Burial will follow in Rome Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel Monday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.
The pallbearers are asked to gather at the Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, Monday at 2:30 p.m. These include Jaron Tanner, James Isaac Tanner, Justin Tanner, Darius Jones, Seth Dowdy and Tony Potts.
