Georgia will not be able to require Medicaid patients to work as a condition of eligibility, the Biden administration announced.

“Given the ongoing disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Georgia work requirements significantly impair the effectiveness of the state demonstration in promoting coverage for intended beneficiaries,” the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services said in a news release Thursday. CMS said it notified the state in a letter.
