<p>Lura Lee Bowerman, 82, of Peachtree City, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2021 with her family.</p>
<p>She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.  Lee was born on July 20, 1938 in Rochester, New York.  Lee married her high school boyfriend Richard Bowerman.  They raised their three children in Morrow, Georgia, and retired in Peachtree City, Georgia.</p>
<p>Lee worked for Life of Georgia for 30 years.  In her retirement, she loved gardening and spent countless hours in her garden.  A favorite in her garden was her lush blueberry bushes, which she loved to share with her neighbors and grandchildren.  Lee was an avid hiker and enjoyed walking her beloved Jack Russell terriers Bo, Sam and Howie.  Lee and Rich loved to travel, but liked to call Peachtree City “home”.</p>
<p>Lee will forever be remembered by her 67-year-old beloved husband, Richard Bowerman;  Son David (Lucy) Bowerman;  Daughter Denise (Kevin) Möggenberg;  Daughter-in-law Debra Bowerman;  Granddaughters Kelly (Dustin) Allen, Dessie and Allie Bowerman, Meredith Moeggenberg;  Grandson Daniel Möggenberg;  Great-grandchildren Harper Randolph and Gracelyn Allen;  Sisters Diane Coker and Faith (Randy) James;  Brother-in-law Ray Bowerman, Harry (Pat) Bowerman;  Sister-in-law Linda (Tom) Schmitt;  and many nephews and nieces.  Lee was preceded in the death by her son Danny Bowerman.</p>
<p>A life celebration will be held at Evergreen Church at 400 Windgate Road, Peachtree City, Georgia 30269 on Saturday, June 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.  Participants are asked to wear bright colors to celebrate Lee’s life.  Lee loved plants and flowers, so flowers are welcome at the service.  Instead of flowers, however, you can make a donation to the Fayette County Humane Society.</p>
