Senator Lindsey Graham has been ordered to submit his latest arguments by Wednesday to qualify his testimony before a Georgia grand jury examining efforts by Donald Trump and his allies to overturn his 2020 election loss in the state.
U.S. District Judge Leigh Martin May on Monday asked the South Carolina Republican to explain in the filing why she should partially vacate or modify his subpoena under the “speech or debate” clause of the U.S. Constitution. A federal appeals court temporarily delayed its testimony Sunday and remanded the case to the lower court for further review of that argument.
