I call on Georgia to recall the law on “Family Values and Protection of Minors” – this is how the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Josep Borrell reacted to the adoption of a draft law prepared against so-called LGBT Propaganda.
“The Georgian Parliament has passed laws on “family values and the protection of minors” that will undermine people’s fundamental rights and increase discrimination and stigmatization. I call on Georgia to withdraw this law, which takes the country further away from the path to the European Union,” writes Josep Borrell.
The Georgian Parliament approved the bill on family values and the protection of minors in the third reading with 84 votes.
