- The brutal murder of the mother of seven took place at the Truett’s Chick-fil-A drive-thru

The “jealous ex-boyfriend” of a mother-of-seven – whom he gunned down at a Georgia Chick-fil-A before turning the gun on himself – appears to have been an avid gun collector and had a cryptic one the day before Message posted the deadly “murder-suicide”.
Confused ex Anthony Green, 56, was waiting outside Truett’s Chick-fil-A on Shorter Avenue in Rome early Wednesday morning as Cassie Davis, 39, was having breakfast at the drive-thru before opening fire.
Davis was shot three times with a revolver and died. Her devastated family said she revealed just a day earlier that Green “wouldn’t leave her alone.”
Around 8:21pm Tuesday – less than 48 hours before the “murder-suicide” was seen posting a cryptic message on Facebook that read: “Have you ever been this tired?”

Sixteen people responded to his most recent post, some reacting to the recent news of the horrific tragedy: “There is always someone you could have reached out brother…prayers for all caught up in this sad and unreal situation,” one wrote Person.
Green often posted photos of guns he collected with friends on social media, but the revolver he used in the attack did not appear on his Facebook.
Rome Detective Tony Yarbrough told DailyMail.com the crime “was a domestic situation”.
Yarbrough said he was still speaking to family members who are grieving the loss of the 39-year-old, who they said “didn’t have a bad bone in her body”.
It remains unclear whether Green had a criminal record. Social media posts feature photos of his love for Trump, a photo supporting breast cancer with a friend, a picture of alcoholic drinks and of him working out at the gym.
Kathie Walters, Davis’ devastated mother, told Fox 5 Atlanta that Green had “followed her around” even though they were no longer together.
Social media posts on Davis’ Facebook page gave the impression that she was a devoted mother of seven and was often photographed with them (pictured). Rome police have described the shooting as an apparent murder-suicide.
They said that after Davis was shot, their vehicle, which was in the drive-through pickup lane, rolled down an embankment, according to The Independent.
Green and Davis, both residents of Rome, are believed to have had a domestic relationship in the past, but it remains unclear how the relationship ended.
Davis’ family described Green as a jealous person who couldn’t let Davis go, but they admitted they never thought he would kill her.
They said she was “loving, caring and would give anyone their shirt away,” reported 11 Alive News.
Walter said, “It seems like a dream to me… I just want to wake up.”
Walters said her daughter, whose children range in age from 5 to 18, is “a good mother of seven.”
Effie Wilson, Davis’ distraught aunt, believes her niece’s murder was senseless.
“No one thinks they kill kids anymore, they kill adults,” she said.
She added: “There were more women out there, there was no point in taking them.”
Greg Major, general manager of the Chick-fil-A restaurant, issued a statement horrified by the morning’s tragedy.
“We are currently working with the police who are conducting an investigation. No other guests or team members were injured, but we mourn with the community,” Major said.
Kathie Walters, Davis’ troubled mother (pictured), said her daughter had “not a mean bone in her body”. Pictures from the crime scene showed a high police presence. The motive for the apparent murder-suicide remains unclear
“We closed the restaurant for the day to fix and care for team members. Thank you for your patience during this time. we plan to reopen tomorrow.’
Police also confirmed that Chick-fil-A had nothing to do with the incident.
The restaurant where the fatal shooting took place was the same place once frequented by Chick-fil-A chairman Dan Cathy, Law & Crime reported.
Crime scene footage showed a heavy police presence. The motive for the apparent murder-suicide remains unclear.
