In Georgia, Walker is the best choice against Warnock’s failed agenda

Not so long ago, Georgians felt comfortable walking the streets of Atlanta on their own or going to the mall. Parents didn’t worry about their children playing outside or whether they would get home safely from school. That is no longer the case.

Recently, Georgia has seen an increase in crime in its major metropolitan areas. Deadly drugs have infected neighborhoods across the state. Public safety is a top priority for many Georgians – but apparently not for Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock. This November, Peach State voters have a chance to reject Warnock and elect someone who will put Georgians first: Republican Herschel Walker.

As Senator, Warnock has consistently pushed a radical, awakened agenda that puts law and order last. He campaigned for the end of Atlanta’s bail system, which led to a roughly 100 percent increase in released convicts who failed to show up for their court dates. He voted to confirm Biden’s election to the crime-friendly Supreme Court. He has demonized our men and women in blue, calling them “thugs” and “thugs.” He even voted to give prisoners stimulus checks, including the Boston Marathon bomber.

Meanwhile, Atlanta’s homicide rate has risen for three years in a row. Smash and grabs terrorize businesses; An Atlanta boutique lost over $100,000 worth of merchandise after burglars broke into its store. Warnock’s answer? Spend $4 million to dismantle part of the city jail and convert it into a “diversion center”. At every turn, Warnock has done more for criminals than law-abiding citizens.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Warnock’s support for the Biden administration’s open borders policy has laid a welcome mat for illegal activity. In July alone, 200,000 migrants were arrested trying to cross the United States-Mexico border — and that’s not counting the escape routes that slipped through the cracks. Since October, border guards have uncovered 66 migrants on the terror watch list attempting to enter America illegally. Illegal drugs continue to pour into the country: 2,071 pounds of the deadly fentanyl – the equivalent of more than 469 million lethal doses – were seized at the southern border in July alone, and many more made it through.

Fentanyl overdoses are now the leading cause of death for Americans ages 18 to 45. These drugs have found their way deep into the country, including the Peach State. Georgia has experienced increased overdoses from street drugs laced with fentanyl. It kills Georgians – including a toddler. No one is safe, but Warnock votes against even the most minimal border security effort.

With crime and deadly drugs on the rise, it’s no wonder Georgians are fleeing in search of safer neighborhoods. But when residents move away, the local economy suffers. Across the country, companies are being forced to cut their workforces just to stay afloat. Gasoline averages nearly $4 a gallon, making transportation and supplies more expensive. Food prices have risen 13 percent since last year – the sharpest increase in 43 years.

But instead of reducing those burdens, Warnock has doubled down. Last year, he helped foment a boycott of the MLB All-Star game that cost small businesses in Atlanta $100 million. He voted to squander $1.9 trillion on Biden’s “stimulus,” which sent inflation skyrocketing and real wages falling — resulting in a pay cut for hard-working families. And earlier this month, he voted to send 87,000 IRS agents after them, thanks to Joe Biden’s so-called “Inflation Reduction Act,” which doesn’t actually do anything to reduce inflation. In fact, Warnock voted with Biden 96 percent of the time.

Georgians deserve US Senators who represent their values. That’s why Herschel Walker’s vision for Georgia is so refreshing. As Senator, Walker will support economic policies that work because he is a successful entrepreneur. He will vote to secure our southern border and stop the flow of human trafficking, criminals and drugs. He will fully fund law enforcement and provide them with the equipment and resources to hire, train and protect officers. He will oppose keen social experiments and require prosecutors to do their jobs: prosecute crimes and keep violent criminals in prison. And as a legendary athlete, he will have no problem protecting women’s sport from the far left.

As a parent, I know how important public safety is to families. Keeping citizens safe and creating an environment in which individuals can thrive is the most fundamental task of government. That’s why we send our senators to Washington. Raphael Warnock had almost two years to prove himself. Instead, he just proved that he cares more about serving Joe Biden’s failed agenda than his Georgia constituents. Voters are ready for a change. In November they will put Warnock out of work.
