I was arrested in Ga on a charge, but I’m…

I was arrested in Ga on Ga Statute 16-13-30.1 but will be brought to court on 16/13/30. If they’re allowed to change them, how do we stop the police from going wild with BBS charges? If they got a search warrant based on the original charge, how can they arrest me on something else?

Attorney’s response

A: The prosecution’s attorneys review the original charges of an arrest before formally bringing the case to trial. During this review, the state may add, remove, or change the charges as it deems appropriate for the case.
