The car manufacturer turns to the regional talent pool, even though the expertise plays the Cloud Outlook
Workers at the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America in Ellabell, Georgia (Hyundai Motor Group)
Hyundai motor has the efforts to recruit local talents in the recently opened Georgia plant after a massive immigration attack on the construction site of the joint battery between Hyundai Motor and LG Energy solution in the state of this month.
According to the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America, 33 job offers were available from Thursday. 28 were uploaded by them after the US immigration and law enforcement authorities had carried out the HLA Battery Co. building building on September 4.
A total of 475 people were detained, including 316 Koreans, the employees of LG Energy Solution and Hyundai Engineering and their partners. The prisoners were released a week later and returned to Korea after all -ending efforts to solve the matter.
The job offers at HMGMA included a legal high-ranking lawyer for work and employment, who will support the legal matters of the facility with a focus on work, employment, employment, immigration and security laws in the workplace. The HMGMA will also hold a job fair on Tuesday on the campus campus of the Savannah Technical College.
Although no personnel directly hired by Hyundai motor were affected in the immigration attack, the career prescription for a legal senior advisory lawyer for work and employment seems to show the car manufacturer's push, refine the employment process and in the future do not leave any space for similar incidents.
“Hyundai has been working in Georgia for more than 15 years, and our commitment to American production is still strong,” said Jose Munoz, CEO of Hyundai Motor Company, in a letter to the employees because he expressed empathy for the employees concerned from the car manufacturer's supplier partners.
“The partnership between our Korean operations and our international institutions, especially in the USA, is still of crucial importance for Hyundai's global success.”
Munoz announced an additional investment of 2.7 billion US dollars for HMGMA during the company's annual investor day, which was held in New York for the first time on September 18. He promised to create 3,000 direct and indirect jobs in Georgia in order to achieve a production capacity of 500,000 hybrid and vehicle vehicles.
According to WSAV News 3, the Georgian site of the Korean car manufacturer has almost 1,400 employees, with an HMGMA spokesman, 73.2 percent of the Greater Savannah area, in which HMGMA is located.
After immigration, the stakeholders carefully keep an eye on the prospects of the procurement of the right talent from the local pool.
“Where Hyundai Motor has built his work, is not a big capital and does not have enough merits for people who live in another region to move there,” said Lee Ho-Guon, professor of automotive technology at Daeduk University.
“With regard to the most important operations and technologies in the system (HMGMA), qualified Korean employees are needed. However, the current deadlock delays the beginning of normal operation in the system, and this will inevitably shift local employment. Even if Hyundai is selected the recruitment process, there are clear restrictions on the selection of people who are selected to the technical specialist process.”
An industry official found that although no direct employees were arrested by Hyundai motor, entered the United States and will work there that it will probably remain restless for the time being.
“There are certain tasks that have to be carried out or monitored by experts with many years of experience, or at least they have to get into their hands during their first phases,” said the official.
“Where does (Hyundai engine) find qualified candidates for such tasks?”
