BIBB COUNTY, Georgia (WRBL) – In Bibb County, Georgia, a mother and her boyfriend are arrested and charged with the murder of the woman’s baby.
According to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Amanda Allan Husley, 29, and Dionte Dixon, 22, have been arrested in connection with the death of six-month-old Major Williams.
The arrests of the two people date back to an incident on February 6, 2022.
According to officials, staff at Atrium Health Navicent Hospital contacted the Department of Family and Children’s Services on February 6, 2022 after it was discovered that a baby, now identified as Major Williams and in the hospital’s care, had internal injuries.

That same night, the baby was transported to Children’s Health in Atlanta for specialized medical care. He was accompanied to Atlanta by Husley. Investigators questioned Dixon.
The following day, February 7, 2022, the Department of Family and Children’s Services notified the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office that the incident was a possible case of child abuse.
Three days after the baby was hospitalized, he died on February 9, 2022. His body was sent to the GBI for an autopsy.
Investigators from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office spoke with doctors and were informed that “Major’s death appeared to result from a cerebral hemorrhage caused by abusive head trauma.”
Arrest warrants were then issued for Husley and Dixon.
Husley was arrested and taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center for murder. She also has an independent charge of violating parole. Husley has no bond.

Dixon was also arrested and taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center for murder. Dixon also has an independent probation violation charge. Dixon has no bond.
