ATLANTA – Former NFL superstar Herschel Walker told FOX News he is considering running for the Georgian Senate in 2022.

“My family, we’re still going through this process of praying and really thinking about it. At the same time, I’m taking it very seriously. And people want me to make up my mind now. And I said, ‘Guys, I want to take my time, because this is a very serious, serious thing. “But I’ll tell you this. Hershel Walker believes in God. I believe in this country. I believe in the people. And I’ll fight for the people of Georgia if I run.” Just hold on. And I’ll tell you what it’s going to be exciting, ”said Walker.

“I’m going to fight for the people of Georgia, so just stay tuned,” he said. “I believe in a constitution that is special.

Walker’s stance as a black conservative and Republican has been well documented in recent years.

Walker and Trump have been friends for many years – since Walker’s professional soccer days with the New Jersey Generals of the United States Football League – Trump owned.

In 2016 he supported Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.
