There are three types of protection orders in Georgia: protection orders against domestic violence, protection orders against stalking, and protection orders for employers. You need to indicate what type of protection order you are applying for.
- Protection orders against domestic violence: Victims of domestic violence can apply for a protection order against a spouse, family member or household member who has committed an act of violence against the petitioner.
- Stalking protection orders: Victims of stalking can apply for a protection order against someone who has pursued, monitored or threatened the safety of the petitioner without their consent.
- Employer protection regulations: Victims of violence in the workplace can apply for a protection order against an employer who has threatened or committed an act of violence against the petitioner.
