A Georgia woman who knocked on doors claiming to be with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation was arrested for posing as an officer, police say.
Tracy Lynn Allen, 54, was arrested Thursday, Cobb County Jail records show.
Allen began knocking on doors in a Cobb County neighborhood on March 10, according to FOX 5 Atlanta. A ring doorbell camera on one of the houses picked her up and said she was with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. She was also heard during the night’s encounter asking about a person who did not live at the residence.

“Tell them Tracy Allen from GBI is looking for you,” she was heard saying through the doorbell cam.
The family at that home said they also noticed something that tucked into their waistband like a gun holster.

Cobb County Police Sgt. Wayne Delk told FOX 5 Atlanta that police, including undercover officers, will always carry some form of identification.

Dallas Police said they also issued a warning to other law enforcement agencies in the area after being informed that Allen had posted a threat on social media against some Cobb County agencies.
The motivation behind Allen’s pretending to be with the GBI is unclear.
Allen was committed to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center for posing as an officer or employee. Her bail was set at around $3,000.
