A Georgia town was ordered to evacuate after a chemical plant fire flared up again Saturday afternoon. The fire at a Pinova plastic resin manufacturing facility was apparently contained within hours of its discovery around 7am but reignited at 3pm, causing a massive cloud of black smoke to billow over the city of Brunswick and the local Glynn County Board of Commissioners prompted to issue an eviction order. A local resident who followed an earlier order to take shelter at the scene told CNN that leaving her home made her dizzy, though she said the air didn’t smell particularly bad. The cause of the fire is unknown and no injuries have been reported.
