A Georgia Senator is seeking impeachment against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis over allegations against former President Trump.
Georgia Senator Colton Moore is seeking impeachment against Willis, accusing the prosecutor of pursuing a political agenda against Trump.
“As a Georgia State Senator, I am officially requesting an emergency meeting to review the actions of Fani Willis,” Moore said on social media Thursday.
“America is under attack. I will not sit back and watch radical left prosecutors target political opponents,” he added.
Moore also released a letter to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp calling for a special session to be held to consider “the actions of Fani Willis.”
“We, the undersigned, being duly elected Members of the Georgia House and Senate, constituting three-fifths of each respective House pursuant to Article IV, Section II, Paragraph VII(b), hereby certify to you that … Letter with copy to Secretary of State “that, in our opinion, there is an emergency in the affairs of state that requires the convening of a special session pursuant to this section for any purpose, which includes, among other things, reviewing and responding to the actions of Fani Willis.”

Willis held a news conference late Monday after a Fulton County grand jury returned indictments against the former president and numerous others.
The Georgia District Attorney gave Trump and the other 18 people in the indictment until noon on August 25 to present themselves to law enforcement.
Willis said during the press conference that she would like a trial within six months.

Trump’s campaign had targeted Willis as a public target following his indictment Monday night, claiming her family was “permeated with hatred” while also drawing attention to her father’s Black Panther connections.
After the charges were dropped, Trump’s campaign team emailed his supporters about the Georgia DA.
The message included quotes from a 2021 Time magazine article and the Fulton County government website.
The campaign wrote that Willis came from a “hate-ridden family” and was the “daughter of a former Black Panther,” before referencing the Time Magazine article.
Willis’ office declined to comment when reached by Fox News Digital.
Fox News Digital’s Houston Keene and Joe Schoffstall contributed to this report.
