The Georgia prosecutor, who is leading an investigation into allegations of Donald Trump’s interference in the state’s 2020 presidential election result, may have released details of when the charges will be dropped in the case, according to The New York Times. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis detailed a plan for most of her staff to work remotely for the first three weeks of August and urged judges not to schedule hearings for part of that period as she prepares to to bring charges as part of the investigation. “Thank you for your consideration and support in keeping the Fulton County Judicial Complex safe during this time,” she wrote in a letter to 21 Fulton County officials Thursday. According to the Times, Willis’ unusual move may indicate she expects at this point a grand jury to drop the charges in the investigation into Trump and his allies.
