She was born in Lewistown on September 20, 1947 to the late George and Isabel (Irvin) Wakefield. Also presiding in death were a stepmother, Darlene (Druckenmiller) Wakefield, and a daughter-in-law, Helen (Byler) Kauffman.

Kauffman of Allensville; a brother, Gregory Wakefield and wife Melissa of Lewistown; two stepsisters, Patty Forsythe of Lewistown, Janet Benjamin and husband Jim of Montana; a stepbrother, Leonard Earnest and wife Sue; and two grandchildren, Renee and Matthew Kauffman.

Primarily a housewife, she had also worked as a personal domestic help.

Georgia was a member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren.

She was very dedicated to caring for her loving husband for 55 years and enjoyed the Saturday morning flea markets with Anita and Darlene. She loved being with her family and friends the most.

Georgia trusted in her Savior, Jesus Christ, and hoped that as many people as possible would come unto Christ. One of her favorite scriptures was John 3:16-17:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

For God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through him.”
