Georgia Nagou-Panagiotaros, 62, of DeKalb, Illinois, died at her home on Sunday, April 23, 2023. She was born on January 29, 1961 in Kakouri, Greece to Konstantinos and Aggeliki (Tsagalaki) Nagou. Georgia married George D. Panagiotaros on April 20, 1980 at St. Nicholas Church in Oak Lawn. She is survived by her son Dimitrios (Gina Gianakopoulos) Panagiotaros and her daughter Katerina (Georgios) Lois; grandson, Nikolaos Nektarios; Siblings Maria (Dimitrios) Kiriazis and Athanasia (Takis) Hatzitheodorou, both from Greece; her brother-in-law Angelo (Maria) Panagiotaros; sister-in-law, Panagiota (Kostas) Vrinios; Several nieces and nephews. Her husband George preceded her in death; their parents; Brother, Dimitrios Nagos. Georgia loved spending time with her friends and family, especially with her pride and joy, grandson Niko, who was the light of her life. She enjoyed volunteering at her church. She took pride in her cooking and baking and everyone was looking forward to trying her delicious dishes. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 320 South Second Street, DeKalb, with Fr. Nicholas Jonas celebrating.
