Georgia mom charged with homicide and human trafficking in daughter loss of life

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WRBL) – Troubling new details regarding the arrest of a Columbus mother charged with three counts of murder and human trafficking in connection with the asphyxiation and sexual assault of her five year old daughter Kamarie Holland.

Kristy Siple, also known as Kristy Hoskins, was arrested on Tuesday December 28th for murder and crime. News 3 learned that the Columbus, Georgia woman has been charged by Holland on three counts of kidnapping, sodomy and rape crime. Siple is also charged with first degree trafficking in human beings.

The additional charges became known Wednesday morning during Siple’s first court hearing in Russell County District Court Judge Walter Gray. The judge found in the case a non-loan.

Siple reported her daughter missing to the Columbus Police Department on the morning of December 13th. The little girl’s body was found in an empty house on 15th Avenue in Phenix City later that day. Williams once lived in this house, which is adjacent to West End Cemetery.

Jeremy Williams, 37, was arrested two weeks ago and charged with the murder of Holland’s death. It was a capital charge because Holland was a child under the age of 14. At a press conference Wednesday morning, Sheriff Heath Taylor said Williams would face three other death penalty charges – rape, sodomy and kidnapping of Holland.

At a press conference prior to the gag order, Sheriff Heath Taylor said that Siple Williams had a previous relationship, but he did not describe the nature of that relationship. Taylor also said the girl was sexually assaulted, but Williams was not initially charged with a sex crime.

Kamarie’s father Corey Holland made a statement to News 3 Tuesday night through a family spokesman after his child’s mother was arrested.

“The pain Kristy caused when she ripped Kamarie out of our lives will never stop. We are happy that she was arrested. We are one step closer to justice for Kamarie. We hope that justice will be served. Kristy should receive the maximum sentence she can get, ”the statement read. “… She is a monster. A real mother protects and would die for her children. Kristy is a monster. My family and I will continue to struggle with the loss of our angel Kamarie. We will ask you to keep sharing your news about her and the justice she deserves. “

District Court Judge David Johnson has issued an arrest warrant for the initial media coverage of Williams’ case. Russell County Sheriff Heath Taylor’s Police are in charge of the investigation. Due to the court order, the sheriff can only speak to a limited extent about the case. It applies to law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and potential witnesses in the case.

The Russell County Sheriff’s Office led the 16-day investigation with the assistance of Columbus Police.

Siple was taken into custody by the US Marshal’s Service at around 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Circle K on Victory Drive. Taylor said his agency asked federal agencies to help arrest Siple.

She was held in Columbus for several hours before relinquishing extradition to Alabama. Siple was booked at Russell County Jail at around 5:30 PM

During her first court appearance, Judge Gray extended a gag warrant in the Siple case. That gag order is similar to the one Johnson issued in the Williams case, said Rick Chancey, chief assistant to the Russell County District Attorney.
