EAST PALESTINE – Georgia Maxine Byler, 89, died early morning on August 4, 2021. She was born on December 8, 1931 in Darlington, Pennsylvania to Robert and Rosa (Reynolds) Hardman. She moved to East Palestine, Ohio when she was 8 years old and spent most of her life there. Georgia was a member of the East Palestinian Nazarene Church for 40 years and served in many capacities. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Community Church in Unity for 19 years as a deacon, music coordinator, and secretary.

She leaves behind her daughter Barbara Byler from East Palestine and her son Ben Byler and her daughter-in-law Judy Byler from Winston-Salem, the NC granddaughters Tabitha Cook (Jack) and Melissa Dunlap, both from East Palestine and Hannah Horton (Jody) from Winston-Salem, NC and Bret Byler from Orlando, Florida. Eight great-grandchildren Ciara Ganoe from Columbus, Ohio, and Cameron Dunlap, Cayla Ganoe, Cheyenne and Colton Cook from Eastern Palestine, Lilly, Bailey and Cooper Horton all from Winston-Salem, NC

She was preceded by her 50-year-old husband Andrew J. Byler in death on May 17, 1999. You also went three brothers, Frank, Lawrence and Hubert Hardman, and four sisters, Geneva Oliver, Rosamond Stanley, Bess Peters and Ada Gorby.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. on the mountain. Calvary Community Church, 1993 New Waterford Rd. Eastern Palestine. The family will receive friends at church an hour before the service. A private funeral will follow at Glenview Cemetery.

Instead of flowers, commemorative donations can be made for the mountain. Parish Church Kalvarienberg.
