Pascal was pulling Daniel off the boat by a hose when he noticed that Daniel’s life jacket was not attached. Daniel started drowning so Pascal jumped in to save his son. Daniel was rescued, but Pascal never showed up again. “He put his hands on his chest and my mother-in-law saw him gurgling and then she didn’t see him anymore. That’s what we were looking for,” said Pascal’s wife Anna. Pascal’s mother was still on the boat and was shocked that her strong 45-year-old son, to whom she had flown thousands of miles, was now gone forever. The tag on Daniel’s life jacket The life jacket she wore was US Coast Guard approved, but it was old and family members said it didn’t quite fit Daniel properly. Experts say life jackets lose buoyancy over time and checking gear before use can save your life. Pascal was looking forward to celebrating Father’s Day, his upcoming 11th wedding anniversary and his son’s birthday on June 30th.
However, those plans were dashed during the boat ride on Friday.
Pascal was pulling Daniel off the boat with a hose when he noticed that Daniel’s life jacket was unfastened.
Daniel began to drown, so Pascal jumped in to save his son. Pascal pushed him towards the shore and asked Daniel to get help.
Daniel was rescued, but Pascal never showed up again.
