Georgia man fatally ran over his brother-in-law after an argument on the household’s Christmas get together: police

Police said the Christmas cheer in a Georgia neighborhood turned deadly on Saturday when a man intentionally rammed his truck into his brother-in-law, killing him.

Ernesto Pelayo, 34, was charged with the murder and serious assault of 41-year-old Juan Davila early Saturday morning in Lawrenceville, according to Gwinnett County police.

The married couple allegedly got into a brawl in the backyard of a Christmas party, whereupon Pelayo got into his black pickup truck, met Davila, and drove away, police witnesses said.

Davila was hospitalized but did not survive.

It is unclear what the first fight was about.

The police are still looking for Pelayo and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Gwinnett County Police Department at 770-513-5300 or CrimeStoppers at 404-577-8477.
