“Hard work, perseverance, and teamwork shared by many different agencies, including the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Investigative Branch and Special Operations Team of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, and the Long County Sheriff’s Office, resulted in the arrest and confession.” by Mr. David Williams for aggravated assault and first-degree murder,” Brown said.

Williams, 30, was taken into custody at his trailer without incident, according to Brown. It is currently unclear whether he will be extradited back to Florida.

Brown said the victim’s name has yet to be released as law enforcement worked to notify close family members.
