Georgia M. Page, 88 years old, formerly from Gresham, went to her heavenly home in Shawano on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
Georgia was born on May 21, 1933 in Shawano, the daughter of the late George and Mary (Ziemer) Buchholz. She graduated from Bowler High School with the 1951 class. On July 28, 1954, she was married to Rueben “Fritz” Page in the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Clintonville. After their marriage, the couple lived and worked on the family’s homestead in Gresham. Rueben preceded her in death on August 17, 1998.
Georgia attended Salem United Methodist Church for many years and was strong in her Christian faith. She always had a puzzle going and enjoyed playing board games. Georgia loved to cook, bake, and tend her garden. Most of all, she valued her family and friends.
Survivors include their children, Marlene (Jim) Krizek from Manitowoc, Sharon (Wayne) Hovind from Milwaukee, David (Deborah) Page, John Page and Donna (Dean) Bratz, all from Gresham; five grandchildren, Megan (Jacob) Schnell, Zachary and Benjamin Page, and Jacob and Wyatt Bratz; her great-grandson Easton Schnell; her sister-in-law Joyce Buchholz; her brother-in-law Dale Page; and several nieces and nephews. Her brother Wesley Bucholz and another infant brother preceded her in death.
The memorial service for Georgia will take place on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. at the Mickelson Funeral Service in Shawano. Pastor Loretta Waegli will take over the office. The burial takes place in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. The tour begins on Tuesday at 10.30 a.m. in the funeral home and lasts until the service.
