Georgia law firm with GOP connections expands practice and mandate across US

A Georgia law firm has strengthened its well-connected political law practice after onboarding several Republican heavyweights from both U.S. coasts this year. The additions have expanded the law firm’s offering to include new areas of practice, while more than doubling the number of associates to 19 attorneys.

Johns Creek-based Chalmers, Adams, Backer & Kaufman added 11 attorneys in four locations across the United States, including some who are either closely associated with a state’s political machinery or are self-elected officials, complement the firm’s eight existing members. The firm said the attorneys joined in the first quarter, although the firm announced that earlier Thursday.
