INDIANAPOLIS
Georgia L. Shea Smith, 92, of Indianapolis, died July 30, 2023. She was born on October 24, 1930 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Nicholas and Opal Robinson Chronis.
After attending high school, she was employed by the Meridian Mutual Insurance Company, Roselyn Bakery and was a wonderful homemaker to her family.
In her free time, she enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino and most of all being with her family.
Survivors include sons Dave (Camille) Shea, Tony (Phyllis) Shea, Steve (Shelley) Shea, daughters Connie Stanifer and Amy (Mike) Tomey, 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Before her died her first husband David T. Shea, daughter Coleen Pennell Roten, second husband Robert Smith and son-in-law (Donald) Garry Stanifer.
The viewing will be on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the GH Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. She is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery.
