Georgia died peacefully at home from complications of heart failure. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Georgia was born in Champaign, Illinois to Clyde Sr. and Ella Putnam.
She was fun-loving and known to many to have quite a strong character and never met a stranger. Georgia will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

She married Dale Kelm in 1964 and he predeceased her, as well as her parents and her beloved brother, Clyde Putnam Jr.
She is survived by her children: daughters Lisa Kelm (Jackson, TN), Shele (Ed) Gonzalez (Lantana, FL) and sons Gregory (Janice) Kelm (Boynton Beach, FL), Schae (Jill) Kelm (Forsyth, IL). . Granddaughters: Tara Boyd, Addison Kelm, Avery Kelm and Aubrey Kelm. Also sister-in-law Nancy Putnam and many nieces and nephews.
We must not forget that many of her children’s friends also called her Ma Kelm.
A visitation and memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, followed by burial in Champaign.
Since this date is her birthday, the family will host a celebration of life at KC Hall in Decatur beginning at 4 p.m. Please join us in her honor because we all know she loved a party.
Georgia also loved animals. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
