A Georgia Circuit Court of Appeals judge is not yet to be impeached despite a recommendation for such a sanction, the state’s top court ruled on Wednesday.
Earlier this year, the Judicial Qualifications Commission Hearing Panel recommended the removal of Judge Christian Coomer, arguing that Coomer broke numerous rules, including several from before he was a judge. Coomer is said to have abused clients as a lawyer and wrongly deducted personal expenses from his campaign account.
