Georgia (Howman) Tens Obituary – Oshkosh Northwestern

Georgia (Howman) Tener, 67, of Larsen, Wisconsin, died Saturday, August 26, 2023, at home.

She was born on August 20, 1956 to the late Dan and Vivian Howman. Georgia graduated from Winneconne High School in 1974. She served as a senior research engineer at Kimberly-Clark for 41 years, and throughout her career, Georgia and her team have been named on numerous patents. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Winchester.

Georgia loved to travel, especially to Door County, grow flowers, raise her pets, and spend time with her family. nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Georgia always made people feel special and loved, not only through her warm hugs and kisses but also through her words. She made the holidays and birthdays fun with all her stories from the past, her laughs and jokes, all the sweet treats and creative decorations. She was an artistic, creative person who liked to have fun but also worked hard.

Georgia is survived by her brothers David (Kay) Howman of Hortonville; Paul (Marilyn) Howman of Plymouth, Minnesota; nieces and nephews, Steve (Jane) Stoltenow, of Mountain; Sandy (Kevin) Van Campenhout of Two Rivers; Lori (Tony) Hobbs from New London; Cathie (Chris) Fellner from Sturgeon Bay; Dan (Cheryl) Howman of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; Ann Marie (Travis) Theien of Bennett, Wisconsin; grandnieces and grandnephews, Jennifer (Marc) Effinger, Mathew Stoltenow, Lexi and Samantha Van Campenhout, Talen and Emberly Hobbs, Caitlyn, Caralee, Cathryn and Cassidy Fellner, Daniel, Andrew, Matthew and Alex Howman, Bryant, Alli and Addison Theien; great-great-niece and great-great-nephew Layla and Lucas Effinger; other relatives and friends. Georgia also leaves behind her special kitten, Marceline.

In addition to her parents, her sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Jerry Stoltenow also died before Georgia; and a brother, Dannie Howman.

A visit for family and friends will be held at Grace Lutheran Church of Winchester, 8396 Steeple Hill Dr., Larsen on Saturday, September 2, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will be held in the church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m., led by Pastor Mark Laatsch. Burial will follow at Grace Lutheran Cemetery. Then lunch.
