Georgia Helen Nerren Palmore
The funeral service for Georgia Helen Nerren Palmore, 88, of Lufkin will be on Wednesday 18. The funeral will take place in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Ms. Palmore was born on December 5, 1932, in Angelina County, Texas, to the late Nora Mae (Allen) and Jasper B. Nerren, and died on Saturday, August 14, 2021, in a Nacogdoches facility.
Ms. Palmore was a lifelong resident of Angelina County. After many years with Nations Bank, formerly First Bank and Trust of Lufkin, she retired as Vice President. She loved flowers and worked in her garden. She loved cooking, especially baking. Mrs. Palmore was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include their daughters and sons-in-law, Suzanne and Jerry Jones of Nacogdoches, Regina and Mark Mayberry of Lufkin; Son, Richard Palmore of Lufkin; Grandson, Josh Jones and wife Angie from Nacogdoches, Marcus Jones and wife Libby from Austin; Jacob McDuffie from Lufkin, Richard Palmore II, Laurren Palmore, both from Dallas, Matthew Palmore from Tucson, Arizona; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Her parents preceded her in death; Husband, RD Palmore; Grandsons, Chris Allen and Jennifer Allen; Sisters, Bettie Nerren Davis, Jackie Nerren Parker; Brother Wayne Nerren and son-in-law William Adkison.
Pallbearers will be Josh Jones, Bryce Jones, Jacob McDuffie, Mark Palmore, Wade Modisette and Brent Modisette.
The family welcomes friends and relatives to the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
