American Rescue Plan funds to be used in grants to provide first aiders bonuses
Governor Brian Kemp announced that Georgia will pay a one-time bonus of a thousand dollars to local law enforcement, rescue workers and other public safety personnel.
ATLANTA – Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced a $ 1,000 salary allowance for Georgia state and local law enforcement agencies.
Kemp said eligible employees included state, local, or educational law enforcement, detectives, probation officers, firefighters, paramedics, sheriffs and deputies, game rangers, 911 dispatchers, law enforcement officers, and bailiffs, among others.
Applications start on October 1st and remain open until the end of the year.

State officials supported law enforcement with one-time bonuses of $ 1,000. Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat said the bonuses might help some recruits, but what is really needed is a raise.
Kemp condemned activists who advocated “exposing the police”, saying it would be detrimental to the state’s efforts to combat an increase in violent crime.

The aim of the DPS is to employ 1,000 people.
