Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp supports Texas amid Biden border crisis: 'Enough is enough'

Georgia's Republican Gov. Brian Kemp pledged his state's support for Texas this week as President Joe Biden seeks to prevent the state from defending its borders against the millions of illegal immigrants who have entered illegally under the Biden administration are.

Kemp's comments came after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Biden administration this week, saying it could cut sections of barbed wire that the Texas National Guard installed along the border to stop illegal immigration.

“Enough is enough,” Kemp said. “Our southern border is in crisis because the Biden administration refuses to do its job. @GregAbbott_TX and the state of Texas have our full support.”

Abbott said in a statement Wednesday that Biden had “broken his oath to faithfully follow the immigration laws enacted by Congress.”

“Instead of prosecuting immigrants for the federal crime of illegal entry, President Biden has sent his lawyers to federal court to sue Texas over its border security actions,” Abbott said. “President Biden has directed his agencies to ignore federal laws requiring the detention of illegal immigrants. The result is that they are being illegally released into the United States en masse.”

“By wasting taxpayer dollars to destroy Texas' border security infrastructure, President Biden has lured illegal immigrants away from the 28 legal entry points along this state's southern border – bridges where no one drowns – and into the dangerous waters of the Rio Grande,” added he added.

Abbott noted that the number of illegal immigrants who have entered the U.S. under Biden (more than 6 million) exceeds the population of most U.S. states.
