Georgia Lanell (Loftis) Fox, age 86, of Cookeville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at her home in Cookeville.
She was born Tuesday, March 9, 1937, in Gainesboro, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Noah and Cora (Chaffin) Loftis.
Georgia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her. She was a member of the Church of Christ Faith and attended Pippin Church of Christ. She worked for many years at C & M Clothing in Cookeville and also for the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department in Cookeville. She was also self-employed, repairing furniture for Fox Antiques. She was an avid collector of antiques. She loved spending time with her family and loved her grandchild and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Haskell Fox, her two sons, Haskell Boyd Fox Jr. and Gregory Kent Fox, and several sisters and brothers.
Georgia’s funeral service will be held at Crest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Greg Bybee officiates. Burial will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 4, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m.
