Georgia federal choose assumes senior standing in April

Law360 (Mar 1, 2021, 9:09 p.m. EST) – A federal judge from Atlanta will be granted senior executive status this spring to help spend more time with her family in the Northern District of Georgia.

US District Judge Amy M. Totenberg, 70, told Law360 that she will hold her sizeable case count over the medium term but will eventually try to find more time for the family if she goes into some sort of partial retirement. Her decision to take senior status as of April 3 follows the decision of Judge Thomas W. Thrash Jr.
