Georgia family says they're stuck in a home infested with snakes, rats and cockroaches

WALKER COUNTY, Ga. – A north Georgia family is looking for a new place to live after discovering a deer infestation in their home.

They said rats, cockroaches and bees had infested their rental home in Walker County. But it gets worse.

The family says snakes enter through a hole in the ceiling.

As if that wasn't enough, the family said their landlord would do nothing to fix the problems. The responsibility lies with the tenants.

“We’re trying to get everything out of there by Saturday,” the family said.

The family has stopped making payments to the landlord, but under Georgia law a tenant cannot withhold rent.
