Georgia deported 22 foreigners

Tbilis, August 5 – The Georgian authorities deported 22 foreigners from 11 countries, citing violations of immigration law.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that the deportations of a series of “complex operations” have been pursuing across the country in recent days.

On the deported citizens of Iraq, Russia, Iran, India, Turkey, Bulgaria, Cameroon, Jordan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kenya. All persons were excluded from the return in Georgia in accordance with applicable legal provisions.

The deportations were directed by the migration department, which was commissioned to combat illegal immigration and the identification of foreign nationals without legal status. The government has intensified anti-immigration efforts in recent years because the country has won its share in an increasing regional migration flow.
