The Georgia Department of Labor has imposed a penalty of $3,281,960.97 on Infosys and the tax payment is pending for the period from Q3 2019 to Q1 2024, the stock exchange filing said.
The Company has received a notice from the Georgia Department of Labor regarding the penalty and outstanding tax payment for the period from the third quarter of 2019 to the first quarter of 2024 (calendar year).
“The company is currently seeking clarifications regarding the outstanding tax amounts and the imposition of penalties,” the company said in the stock exchange filing.
The disclosure was made in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
The company has submitted the disclosure to all stock exchanges including BSE Limited, NSE Limited and NYSE.
