Like any sane person, I prefer that my law enforcement officers act strictly by the book whenever reasonably possible. Sure, there are times when your own human judgment should come into play. Extenuating circumstances in which it is wiser to resolve a situation with a stern warning or friendly advice. But by and large, we all expect these frontline men and women to enforce the laws as written and abide by a code of conduct designed to protect the public and themselves. It’s only right.
However, there is something almost mythical about the Rogue Cop. This American badass icon who works outside the lines, lives by their own rules and doesn’t have to be accountable to anyone. Why? Because that’s how he gets things done. He’s that loner who catches the bad guys, which no one else can because he’s willing to do what it takes, damn the regulations. Dirty Harry Callahan. Alonzo Harris. Vic Mackey. Batman. Antiheroes whose ethics can be questioned, but not their results. People sleep better in their beds at night because they’re out on patrol.
And just such a morally challenged cop was caught on video by a utility worker getting a Hummer on duty.
Daily Mail – A police officer in the small town of Georgia has resigned from the police force after a viral video surfaced of him being given oral sex by an unidentified woman in a uniform.
The video, posted to social media by TikTok user Dillon Cole, shows the unsuspecting lawman, identified as Millen Police Officer Larry “Benjamin” Thompson, engaging in sex with the unidentified woman outdoors behind his police vehicle.

And to the shock of absolutely no one, he has a history of coloring outside the lines, so to speak:
Following the officer’s resignation, a record of his past misconduct has now… come to light.
In 2019, local broadcaster WRDW-TV reported that in Millen, a small town of 3,500 people about 75 miles northwest of Savannah, Thompson dismembered a car containing T-Bones while rushing to a crime scene, killing a 76-year-old . old man driving the vehicle.
In 2017, Thompson shot another officer in the arm in what one incident report describes as an “accidental firing.” According to the filing, Thompson claimed he was cleaning his gun when it jammed and went off.
So the “accidental layoff” that could have killed his partner in 2017 didn’t end his career. But this deliberate discharge behind his cruiser has. He didn’t quite have to after fatally beating an elderly driver, but he did after boning the driver of that sedan with the doors open.
I repeat, you can find a place in your heart for the easy-going gun cop who defies authority to crack cases and get criminals off the streets. But it goes without saying that a guy with two very heavy punches to him shouldn’t be swinging for the fences by blowing his meat whistle in the middle of a shift. Get off after you get off. Or during the lunch break.
And if you have to, if there’s really no other way to seal the deal because she has to be home with her husband and kids or whatever, because scream out loud, check your surroundings. It’s 2022. You can’t just assume you’re off camera because you’re out in the middle of nowhere on public Georgia land. And that 16 million people won’t be watching you get honked in a few days. I just wish someone would have posted a TikTok of Officer Thompson when they found out about Dillon Cole’s video. The look on his face as he realized that shooting a fellow officer and killing a motorist didn’t cost him his career and his pension, but that bean came close must have been priceless.
