Georgia Carol DuRossette (Montenguise) – The Examiner

Georgia Carol DuRossette died of Alzheimer’s/lung cancer on Sunday April 3, 2022 at the age of 78 at her home surrounded by her family. A visitation will be held Friday, April 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Carson-Speaks Chapel, 1501 W. Lexington Ave, Independence, MO. Worship services will follow immediately at 10:00 a.m

Born in Des Moines, Iowa on November 21, 1943 to Georgia and John Tovrea. She married Anthony Gene Montenguise in 1960, in which four children were born. She was widowed at the age of 38. She married Dallas DuRosette on October 24, 1985.

The most important thing in the world for mom was her family! She cared for her siblings from a young age and recounted those times in her later years. She loved all babies unconditionally and was always so willing to help wherever she could until she couldn’t anymore. She loved trips to the lake and fishing, especially when some of the kids were there!

She was preceded in death by husbands Anthony and Dallas, parents, daughter Carol “Sam’ Dewitt, son-in-law Doug Dewitt, sister Debbie Daughenbaugh, sister-in-law Tami Tovrea, and her aunt Sharon Jacobs.

Survived by her sister Linda (Tom) Spencer, brother Rick Tovrea Sr., daughters JoAnn (John) Borden, Deanna “Dee” Montenguise, son Anthony (Cheryl) Montenguise Jr., grandchildren Harmony (Adam), Melody ( Anthony), Ryan (Heather), Jordan (Nick), Daniel and Jamie (Kyle), great-grandchildren Addison, Andrew, Annabelle, Autumn, Ava, Alena, Kyla, Kooper, Kolby, Emry and Remington, three stepchildren and children.
