JACKSON CENTER – Georgia A. Brunson, 73, of Jackson Center, passed away peacefully at Indian Lake Rehabilitation on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 1:25 p.m.
She was born February 1, 1950 in Colorado, the daughter of the late Thomas and Beulah (Bartley) Ellis.
On May 23, 1970, she married her high school sweetheart, Terry S. Brunson, to whom she was married for 53 years.
In addition to her husband, Georgia is survived by her children, Brady Brunson, Kendra (Steve) Combs, Brandon (Jill) Brunson and Todd (Shannon) Brunson; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sisters Linda Mundhenke, Erla England and Veda Armstrong, all of Lincoln, Nebraska; brothers-in-law Ron (Geri) Brunson and Steve (Bonnie) Brunson; and sister-in-law Cheryl Brunson.
Georgia was a retired LPN from Lima Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Rhine, a lifelong auxiliary member of the VFW and an auxiliary member of the American Legion and Amvets.
Georgia was very involved with the Jackson Center Family Life Center. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family and loved a good romance novel. Georgia will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Father Sean Wilson will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 16053 Botkins Road, Botkins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home, 214 W. Pike Street, Jackson Center. Private burial will follow at a later date in St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery.
