Georgia Beatrice Lusk
A memorial service for Georgia Beatrice Lusk, 79, of Rusk is scheduled for Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oakland Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. Jamie Hogan serving.
Ms. Lusk died on September 1, 2021 at her home with her family. She was born on March 25, 1942 in Rusk as the daughter of the late Jeff and Evelyn Acker. Ms. Lusk lived in Cherokee County all her life and was a member of the Oakland Missionary Baptist Church. She drove the No. 52 school bus for Rusk ISD for over 30 years and also drove a school bus for Maydelle ISD. She loved to crochet and fish.
Her parents, Jeff and Evelyn Acker, preceded her in death; Husband Fagan Lusk; Brothers Robert Acker and Ricky Acker. She leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Danial Plummer of Rusk; Son, Rusty Lusk of Spokane, WA; several grandchildren, including Stormey Lusk of Palestine, TX, Chris Carson of Elkhart, TX, Raeleigh Plummer of Rusk, Chasity Plummer of Palestine, Scottie Smart of Palestine, Dakoda Lusk of Jacksonville, TX, Nina Lusk of Joshua, TX, Michael Lusk of Jacksonville; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
